Asprey’s Bloggers Night

Recently Manila’s leading watchstrap brand Asprey threw in a party at Scarlet Lounge, the Fort and treated fashion industry’s young bloggers for a night of fun! Attendees were requested to bring in their old watches and trade their aged straps with new fresher styles.

My sister, Arra, was very lucky to have been invited to a ‘Bloggers Event’. I was also grateful to her for asking me and my friend, Nigel, to come with her. It was actually our first time to attend this kind of event. Too bad Nicolas wasn’t able to come with us. :(

I don’t know why Nigel edited and covered his face. But here we go!

Anyway, these green and yellow striped NATO straps we had, served as our passes for the event. Isn’t that cool? Hihi.

We were very shy to mingle with the crowd, until Paul of Paul The PR Guy approached us, introduced himself and the rest of the group to us. I cannot remember all of them but here are some which I easily remembered: Sarah T. of Fashion Eggplant and Ana G. of anagonzales.com. I guess we were really lucky to meet all of them! :)

We also get to meet these two, THE JP Singson of JP on Fashion Speed and Austin. They’re both kind and witty!! Hihi.

Dinner + Drinks = Good life ♥

(Baguettes with Caviar, Pasta, Nachos, Iced tea and Alaska Iced Tea)

Moving on… Each one was given two stabs which was equivalent to two free Asprey watch straps. They have a great variations of watch straps! I swear you would have a hard time choosing which ones to get!

Stylish attendees also participated in our online popularity game. Guests took their photos and uploaded it in Asprey’s facebook fan page. 6 photos with the most number of like were awarded with watches from L-Timestudio and a set of watchstraps from Asprey.

Unfortunately, we didn’t get to see our photos in their fan page. I also don’t know why but I guess they had this technical problems. (?) Haha.

Asprey’s brand ambassadors were also introduced that night:

Bloggers David Guison of DG Manila and Lissa Kahayon of scenestealer.com

College Jock and Model Victor Pring, and Kato Chua of Moonshine Garb

And lastly…. Myx VJs Joyce and Mike Advincula

It’s so nice to see all of them! They’re all gorgeous!!! :)

with THE Lissa Kahayon. I was stunned :’)

Arra and Nigel with David Guison. Hihi.

Before the event’s about to end, they announced the ‘Best Dressed’ for the night… Ms. Sarah T and JP won! Congrats to both of them! :)

We had a photo shoot downstairs before we left Scarlet Wine Lounge. Hihi :)

with Arra and Nigel :)

GLAM ROCK

Late post.

April 09, 2012. Monday.

(Clara’s 18th Birthday)

Luckily, it was a holiday in the Philippines ‘cause I still have classes going on until April 14. Actually, ’twas the start of our Finals Week back then and I don’t want to miss the party..

That morning, I asked my friend Nigel Reyes to video shoot me for my Advocacy Project for my Oral Communication class. So yeah we did the video shooting at home and at our Club house. We headed back at home to have our lunch and burn the video to a CD. I swear I don’t know anything with those stuff so I’m really grateful To Nigel for helping me out! At around 3pm, I started prepping myself and asked my eldest sister, Arianne to do my make up. I guess she’s the one I could count on besides my mom for stuff like this while my sister, Arra for styling and helping me choose on what to wear, and lastly, my 11-year-old brother Arthur Dale for being the one who took most of my shots here. Though my phone camera’s in a low quality. Still, credits to my siblings! :)

Then after a few hours… Nigel, Tin, Erika, Desiree and I was brought by Joselle’s mom to Patio Ibarra, which was the venue for Clara’s 18th birthday. Clara Quiambao was the owner of the Twitter account @ohteenquotes I guess a lot of Twitter users know her. She had been my classmate in High school and I’m so grateful for being invited to her birthday even though we were not that close.

Invitation and Cupcake give-away. (The cupcake was really delicious!! ♥)

The debutante and her glam-rockin Birthday cake.

This shot was really beautiful! Clara was indeed gorgeous! ♥ I love her bloody red glam-rockin ball gown. Isn’t she lovely??

Moving on… After the opening remarks and the 18 roses, each table were asked to go in front and have a picture with the debutante. After the picture taking, we can start eating our dinner.

Table #2 - OC’s with random visitors. Hihi.

These are the desserts. Everything’s yummy!! ♥

After dinner we start hitting our butts’ again to the Photo booth!

When we got our butts back to our table, these singers started performing. I was really in awe while hearing their gorgeous voices! If only you could witness how they perform, they sing with their hearts! Oh, I love them! :’)

The debutante with Rhap Salazar and a 14-year-old-girl (I forgot her name)

After their performance.. We went to the Photo booth again, now that our group was almost complete. Yaaay! OC’s my love ♥

Showing off our rings. Hihi. Leopard, Owl (missed Chay) and Oval with diamonds.

After our cam-whoring.. We started to be in the same table with almost all of our classmates in fourth year.

Started drinking.

Then… Joyce and Michael were awarded ‘Best dressed’ :) Go OC’s!!

For the last time!!! Hahahaha. Moncsters :’)

When the party’s over. Everyone started dancing, singing and all…

Before we leave, had our last shot with the debutante ♥

Anyway, I really enjoyed the night! Catching up through College life, dancing together, eating, drinking and invading the Photo Booth was hella fun! Happyhappy :)

A NIGHT TO REMEMBER ♥

Late post.

Updated on April 22, 2012 in Chictopia. (gorgeousglance)

January 14, 2012. Saturday.

(Thessa’s 18th Birthday Celebration)

It was the second week of my First Year – Third Term life. And yes, I do have a Saturday class because of my NSTP subject. It was like having an immersion activity to a place with less fortunate people and you get to interact with them and at least know what it’s like to have that kind of life. But anyway, during that day, luckily, we still do have our orientation in the classroom so no worries and a hassle-free day for all of us.

After class, my best friend Camille and I rushed up to my friend’s house, Pauline. We had lunch, took a nap and hang out before ‘twas finally 4pm.

Then Hannah and Robee finally showed up from their class. We dressed up together, fixed our hair, helped each other do our make-up and some of us actually exchanged dresses. It’s really nice to have your friends in times like this! ♥

This dress was actually the one I borrowed from Hannah. Hihi.

We even had our little photo shoot after we have prepared. I really enjoyed those moments, especially for the fact that we were all girls and we can do anything we want! :)

We’re ‘pa-pogi’ like that! Ihhhhh :’)

Until Wilson came and drove us all the way to the hotel where the event would be held.

We were all so excited and happy during the night! I can say that everything was magical. The debutante, Thessa, looks really amazing and gorgeous during that night! She perfectly standout on her beautiful golden yellow gown that seems like to be inspired from Belle in Beauty and The Beast, while all of us have worn dark colors. I totally had fun that night! Everybody were all drinking, dancing, singing, playing around and just enjoying that night! :)

After party… Pauline’s dad fetched us and went straight to their house. Then, we waited for our parents to come over and fetch us there.

When I got home. I asked my mom to some photos of me for my blog. Hahaha. She’s really supportive ever since! I really love her!!! :)

Looking forward for more happy moments with my friends again. I’m so happy! :’)

TURQUOISE BLUE AND GREEN.

Late Post.

January 13, 2012 in Chictopia. (gorgeousglance)

During new year’s eve, we had some unexpected visitors who celebrated the occasion with us. They were actually my aunt, my three little cousins and a family friend. Since that we have this Filipino Tradition of wearing polka-dots during new year, I decided to wear this thrifted floral and polka-dot dress I got from Bangkok two years ago. They say wearing polka-dots brings a lot of money or prosperity for the whole year.

When I saw this in a ‘tiangge mall’ in Bangkok, I didn’t think twice and bought it immediately! I also bought another floral dress which is more formal than this one. I don’t know what is with these dresses, but I really love them! ♥

I’m being such a Laureen Uy wannabe AGAIN!!!!!!! :’)

Anyway, I’m wearing my lime green pumps from Primadonna again! They are really comfortable to wear even for long walks and I don’t get any feet blisters with these. I’m also wearing a turquoise blue watch which I borrowed from my mom. And to add a little classy vibe, I wore a marble-like bangle.

Currently having our Media Noche with my siblings and cousins. We all enjoyed our meals and we were all stuffed…

Credits to our neighbors colorful Christmas lights and decorations! HAHA.

We have also witnessed different series and colors of fireworks. That’s one thing I love most here in our village, we tend to watch fireworks display without even buying one! Hihihi.

Le brother Dale and cousin MM…

BEFORE!!

Tito Allan and Daddy..

AFTER!!

Hahahaha lol. Anyway, after all the catching up and all the games we played… I’m just really thankful and happy to be with my family! Being with them is priceless!

At the end of the day, I’m just a happy girl like that! :’)

TUTU SKIRT.

Late Post.

December 30, 2011 post on Chictopia. (gorgeousglance)

I’ve always wanted to wear a tutu skirt, yet I don’t know where I could buy one for my age. I tried searching in the department stores but I only found it in the kids’ section. I thought, maybe, I was the only one who would want to wear an apparel most probably kids like. So I was surprised when I opened my Christmas present from my sister, Arianne. She gave me this cute top and tutu skirt. I am so in love with it! :) It’s very unique because each layers were having its own directions. For my shoes, I got this when I had shopping with my dad and siblings during Christmas eve’s day.

I’m such a Laureen Uy wannabe in these photos. Hihi. I really love her so much! ♥

Oopsieee! This one’s an awkward pose. Actually my legs are. HAHA.

Laureen Uy wanna be. Lime green pumps. Tutu skirt. Knit blouse. New gent deep purple watch. Silver sling bag.

I even made this photo as my Display Picture in Facebook. HAHA.

Every 25th of December we are having this traditional family-get-together. This year, 2011, it was held in Paranaque at my Aunt’s house and not in our ancestral house in Bulacan because we want to make it more private and exclusive only for the immediate family.

We’re very incomplete in this photo. We have such a big family!! My mom has 11 siblings, that’s why =)) Anyway, this photo was taken while we were skyping with Tita Lily who already migrated to the US.

We were suppose to look for an open Milk Tea shop but unfortunately, there’s none. Credits to my cousin, Kate, for this shot! with My sister Arra and cousin Mary Rose. I missed her!! We used to be close to each other and play different outdoor games when we were still kids…

The Youngest Generation of the Nicolas Family… so far.

All the food were good. We’re all stuffed, I guess. Parlor games were also held for the kids while drinking of beer for men and tequila shots for women. We also had non-stop Karaoke-ing.

I love Holidays! More bonding with family. :)

BLACK AND LACE.

Late post.

December 26, 2011 post in Chictopia. (gorgeousglance)

(Sorry for the Low-quality photos)

It was Christmas Eve then… and I wanted to wear something simple yet elegant in a way. This LBD is not just an ordinary dress because it was detailed with a lace at the back of it. It was given to me by my friend, Michael, on my 17th birthday last November. My black suede pumps suits perfectly with this dress. It was also my first time to wear a red lipstick because I think it does not look good on me.

Messy bun. Lace-Back Little Black Dress. Red Mac Lipstick. Forever 21 ring.

That morning, my dad, my younger brother and my two elder sisters hurried to the mall. We just had a last-minute-Christmas-shopping! My dad bought us some new pair of shoes and we all loved it! After shopping for shoes and stuff, we enjoyed ourselves drinking milk tea from Happy Lemon. Then we hit the supermarket for some groceries.

Anyway, here are my two loving sisters, Arra and Arianne while we’re at Primadonna.

When we got home, mom prepared our food for Noche Buena. Everything’s so delicious. We were all stuffed! Some of our relatives also came in and celebrated Christmas with us. That night was a sure blast!

FLOWER POWER.

Late post.

November 7, 2011 post in Chictopia. (gorgeousglance)

(4 days before my birthday. Hihi)

It was actually a holiday when my family and I decided to hit the mall for shopping. I needed to buy new shoes and stockings for school. This dress was given to me by my friend, Nigel, as a birthday and Christmas present last year. The interesting story behind this gift was that Nigel’s mom saw a picture of ours with our friend, Margaux, and told him that she likes me and she likes my fashion sense. Then she thought of buying me a dress. It was really flattering! I never thought that someone will appreciate my style and I am grateful for it. :’)

I love this dress because I find it really comfortable and for the fact that I can wear it in any occasion. Neither

too formal, nor too casual as well.

Just so you know, it was my first time to have this so called ‘my own little photo shoot’ about my outfit-of-the-day. I somehow find it very silly to take photos of your outfit but it was really fun. Credits to my sister, Arra, for asking me to join her for the photo shoot. I guess we had our photo shoot before we left the house.

Anyway, after shopping, we had lunch at El Pollo Loco because my dad was craving for their chicken and pita bread. Then we went to my uncle’s house and took almost half of my late abuelita’s (which I badly miss) vintage clothes. All of her dresses were custom-made and all are beautiful. I can’t wait to try them out with my sister! :)

If a guy would do something like this just to ask me out, I would probably faint! Lol. But seriously, this is very sweet! I’m in awe when I saw this photo. That guy must been really into her.. Lucky her. Haha.

Macaroons ♥
This would always remind me of Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester) in Gossip Girl! Especially when she’s stressed out and all she could do is look for a comfort food and munch on these macaroons! Hihi.
